Employees inside Sega of America have filed for unionization.
Today, The Verge broke the information {that a} supermajority of 144 staff throughout Sega of America’s high quality assurance, dwell service, localization, advertising and marketing, and product improvement departments have filed to kind a union. This group of workers headquartered in Sega of America’s Irvine, California workplace filed its union election with the National Labor Relations Board and can go by the title Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega (AEGIS) in partnership with the Communications Workers of America, The Verge stories.
“We consider that the passionate, hardworking folks at our Irvine workplaces deserve a say in our working situations, and we’re becoming a member of collectively to advocate for change in our office,” this new union writes on Twitter. “This is our imaginative and prescient for the trail ahead. #UnionizeSEGA”
